8. Robert Downey Jr. Is Set To Join Captain America 3

Quite possibly the most excitement-inducing news of the previous week (or any week, ever, in fact) stems from the recent reports that Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man within the realms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is set to join the cast of Captain America 3. Yes, everybody's favourite Avenger (c'mon - he is) will apparently have a leading role as the MCU prepares for "Civil War." Anybody who's familiar with the Marvel comic books knows will understand how huge this is, given that the Civil War storyline famously pitted Captain America and Iron Man against one another. Which basically means that, in the course of one summer, we'll be getting both Batman Vs. Superman, and Captain America Vs. Iron Man. Which, we imagine, was exactly what Marvel wanted. Smart guys.
