7. Independence Day 2 Is Set 15 Years After The Original Movie, Says Vivica A. Fox
The plot details on upcoming and very unnecessary (but still exciting) sequel Independence 2 have been incredibly thin so far, but cast member Vivica A. Fox - reprising her role from the original flick - recently spoke out with regards to her character and the film's time frame, claiming "it's about fifteen years after the original," and that "the aliens are back." Not totally unexpected, then. Fox also went into a few details about her character, Jasmine Dubrow, who has changed quite dramatically since the events of the first film:
"I will not be on the pole. She was a stripper with a heart of gold, who had said that she was doing it because the money was good. Now shes a hospital administrator and shes running the hospital and Im glad that they moved her character forward as a woman."
From stripper to hospital administrator - who'd have guessed it?
