9. Sony Are Supposedly Considering Giving Spider-Man Over To Marvel

We know, we know: we've heard this before, and Marvel and Disney have shut down said rumours pretty much the moment that they started. Still, given the state of the Spider-Man movies as it stands, and the fact that almost everybody on the planet who know what a comic book is would love to see Spider-Man back where he belongs and alongside the Avengers, we're giving this rumour the benefit of the doubt. According to a Hitfix report, then, Sony and Marvel have apparently entered talks with regards to getting Spider-Man into the MCU:
"While I can€™t get the confirmations I need to verify the story, I€™m hearing that there are some very cool €˜Spider-Man€™ plans being discussed that would help Sony refocus their enormously important franchise while also opening up some connections in the on screen Marvel movie universe that would blow fandom€™s minds. I would love to be able to state for sure that it€™s happening. What seems clear from what I€™ve heard is that Marvel wants to be able to play with all of their characters, and if they can make that work creatively and on a corporate level, they will, and that means the world gets bigger again.€
Though unlikely (think of the kind of deal that would have to be worked out for this to happen!), fingers crossed there's a least a tiny chance of something like this actually happening.
