9. C-3PO Is Probably Going To Lose An Arm In Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is currently wrapped under a veil of extreme secrecy, and though director J.J. Abrams and his loyal crew are keen to keep it that way, occasionally the odd tidbit does slip through - it's hard to keep an entire galaxy under wraps, after all. The latest "spoiler" comes in the form of a lost limb, then - C-3PO's arm, to be exact. Yes, packaging for an upcoming C-3PO toy (pictured here with buddy R2-D2) shows the iconic robot with a reddish-coloured arm in place of his classic golden one. Is this something that happens to the poor guy over the course of the Force Awakens, or did he lose an arm in the passage of time between this new episode and Return of the Jedi? The droid isn't the first character in the franchise to end up losing an important limb, of course - everyone from Luke Skywalker to Darth Vader found themselves similarly lacking body parts of this type... to the point where it's even considered to be a Star Wars trope.
