8. Details Revealed For Lance Hunter: A New Character For Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D
British actor Nick Blood will be joining the cast of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D in season 2; playing the character of Lance Hunter. Speaking on Marvel's website, the actor had more than a few words to say about his new role.
He's based on a Marvel character, Lance Hunter, who in the comics was the head of S.T.R.I.K.E., which was kind of like the British equivalent of S.H.I.E.L.D. But that's not necessarily "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." He's British, he's got military background, as did Lance . He kind of comes across the S.H.I.E.L.D. gang and ends up joining them. You'll have to tune in to find out.
It seems that the writers behind one of the most expensive TV shows ever made will be taking the character of Hunter in a slightly different direction to how he appears in the comics. He may not be the head of S.T.R.I.K.E in this incarnation, but whether or not the British version of S.H.I.E.L.D will actually appear in the show is still up in the air. What we do know though, is Hunter's character will waste no time getting integrated with the rest of the show's cast, as Marvel explains.
