Marvel have released an official plot synopsis of next year's Avengers film, providing some clues as to how the film's titular villain - Ultron - will make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earths Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
By the looks of it, Ultron will be an indirect creation of Tony Stark's attempts to restart some form of planet-wide security system. As many thought before, it looks like Stark's robotic companion, J.A.R.V.I.S, won't be the progenitor of Ultron after all. As the voice actor of J.A.R.V.I.S, and now Vision, it looks like Paul Bettany's role in the Marvel films is going to be greatly expanded upon. With Vision being a member of the Avengers in the comics, it's only sensible to assume that Stark is going to create the chracter in an effort to combat the Ultron threat.
