10 Movie Villains With Motives We Can Relate To

1. Jason Voorhees €“ Friday the 13th Franchise

Friday the 13th Part VII Poor little Jason. The son of camp-cook Pamela, the disabled boy is ignored by the camp counselors as he drowns in Crystal Lake. Ignored because they€™re all having sex. And doing drugs. And drinking too much. So, when the boy needed protection and help, the €˜cool kids€™ were too busy to help. Mrs Voorhees does what any good mother would do after that and mounted a campaign to shut down the camp on health and safety grounds. Poisoning the water, starting a few fires, killing nine camp counselors, that sort of thing. Jason didn€™t even kill anyone in the first film, or the fifth for that matter, and yet he still gets all the blame. All he€™s trying to do, though, is make a point. Sex before marriage? Morally and religiously wrong. That€™s why he lets the one girl who doesn€™t partake survive each time. Drink and drugs? Bad for your health. See, Jason really cares of society and the well-being of others. He lives in the forest and these annoying teens keep breaking into his shack or try to attack him for no reason whatsoever. Also, when he does €˜slip€™ with his machete, usually they are the sort of bullying jocks and pretty girls who bully most normal people so Jason is thinking of the good of society too. Jason Voorhees is a moral compass and all-round good guy. Just don€™t put on his mother€™s clothes. He doesn€™t like that.
