10 Movie Villains Who Will Kick Ass In 2018

1. Thanos (Avengers: Infinity War)

Could it be anyone else?

He's been lurking in the shadows of the MCU for almost a decade, he's been hyped and built-up in post-credits scenes and cameo appearances, and in 2018, we'll finally get to see Thanos square off against the Avengers in the superhero battle to end all superhero battles.

We've already seen how brutal Thanos can be thanks to Infinity War's debut trailer, which showed him punching Iron Man and choke-slamming Spider-Man (and in the Comic-Con trailer, he mercilessly squeezes Thor's head), and all this is before he assembles the Infinity Gauntlet, which will allow him to manipulate time, space, energy, and the minds of his opponents.

It simply seems like there's no stopping this guy.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has even stated that Thanos will be the biggest, baddest villain the MCU has ever delivered, mentioning that he'll make one hell of a villainous statement within the first five minutes of the film. Yikes.

Thanos boasts super-strength, he's incredibly smart, he looks plain intimidating, and he has a mission that he'll stop at nothing to achieve. The Avengers truly have their work cut out, and by the time Infinity War ends, it's hard to imagine the MCU being all sunshine and rainbows once Thanos has paid a visit.

Any other badass 2018 villains we missed? Let us know in the comments below!

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
