10 Movie Villains Who Will Kick Ass In 2019

1. Pennywise (It: Chapter 2)

The opening moments of It: Chapter 1 - which saw Pennywise bite off a child's arm and drag him down to his death - made it very clear that this is a villain with no mercy, no compassion, and no conscience. And there's something chilling about a bad guy you just can't reason with.

Although the movie is based on a book - meaning we do know what Pennywise will get up to, barring any slight deviations or major changes - Bill Skarsgard's creepy, twitchy portrayal of the demonic clown still makes him feel unpredictable at every turn.

The actor was able to take a character who most people will be familiar with from an admittedly dated TV mini-series, and turn him into one of the most iconic movie monsters of the modern age (racking up some impressive box-office numbers along the way). And that's a testament to how frightening Pennywise really is.

Yes, Thanos is powerful, and yes, the Skrulls are devious, but at least there's still a chance you could get through to them, reason with them. But Pennywise's bloodlust knows no bounds, and he's going to absolutely wreck shop in It: Chapter 2, if the first movie is any indication.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too.
