10 Movies Based On Books That Should've NEVER Been Made

In 2010, Pittacus Lore began to release his novels within the Lorien Legacies series, beginning with I Am Number Four. The young adult sci-fi books followed a group of alien turned teens who are protected by their Guardians as they hide from an evil force hunting them down in specific numerical order.

The film was released only a year after, starring Alex Rider star Alex Pettyfer as troubled high school kid Four who is subject to the usual pubescent school problems, on top of learning of his new superpowers. These school scenes were cringey to say the least. However the special effects of the film must earn some credit alongside the big budget action sequences, as the characters dived away from exploding buildings and evil alien dogs by shooting light beams from their hands.

Lore continued to write more books however the film series hype began to die down as the production company fell silent on any more releases. Book number 2 The Power Of Six became a movie mystery and it is still unclear if this franchise will ever see the light of cinema again.

After 9 years, this is starting to look more and more like a no.
