10 Movies You Can't Stop Watching When They Come On TV

1. Titanic

Even now, owning the film on Blu-Ray and having watched it all the way through more times than I'd like to admit, I still can't start watching Titanic on TV without having to settle in for the long haul. Whether it's just as star-crossed lovers Jack and Rose first meet, or as the doomed ocean liner finally sinks, I find it impossible to pull away from. Now I am admittedly obsessed with anything Titanic, but it's really more about James Cameron's film-making brio. Titanic may clock in at over three hours long (making it the seventh longest Best Picture Oscar winner ever), but actually watching it, the epic romantic tragedy just flies by. It's basically two films in one; the first half is a period love story all about breaking out of the norm, while the second is a massive action set-piece that weighs tragedy with jaw-dropping visuals. Things move so fast that if you start watching for only five minutes it's easy to become enraptured. Point of no return: Once the ship hits the iceberg there's no getting off - it's too epic a sequence to miss, even if it is for the thirty-eighth time.
