10 Movies That Changed Your Mind About Actors You Loved

6. Will Smith - After Earth

There was a time when Will "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" Smith was pretty much the hottest actor in the world. The reason? He's so darn likeable! At least, he was, like, six or seven years ago. Recently, though, this once universally beloved chap - we challenge you to try and find somebody who had a bad word to say about Will Smith back in the day - has been making some terrible career moves, the worst of which had him trying to turn his far less affable and not at all charismatic son into a major star; we all went to see After Earth for Will and got Jaden instead. At this point, Smith's reputation had already entered an uncertain zone thanks to a series of middling pictures - thankfully, Men in Black III (not the disaster it could have been) brought him back into the limelight and people were ready to forgive. What does Will Smith do, then? He markets a movie around himself and ends up being in it for about 15 minutes, leaving audiences to hang out with Jaden. No, thanks. Given the declining appeal of his star quality, then, After Earth pretty much proved to be the final straw. Oh, how far this once brilliant man has fallen.
