10 Movies Changes Influenced By The Fans' Feedback
1. Changing The Mother F****** Lines - Snakes On A Plane
Never has fans feedback been utilised so well than for this 2006 action caper, with the most outrageously fun premise since a bus that couldn't slow down under 50 miles per hour. The choice by Samuel L Jackson to sign up to the film caught everyone by surprise, including the film's Director Ronny Yu, and proved the film's biggest strength.
The hype for the movie hit a crescendo when a blog entry from screenwriter Josh Friedman was released with details of the plot. Bloggers around the world followed up by creating parodies, original artwork, songs and a variety of fan fiction related to the film's premise, as the excitement for the film continued to build.
The added excitement for the movie's crazy concept lead to five additional days of filming so that the film could captalise on all the hype. Reshoots were made to add more gore and gruesome deaths to the film, while also adding some memorably uncouth dialogue.
The addition of the line that is now synonymous with the film was the best example of the film embracing the campy fun of its premise. 'I've had enough of these motherf****** snakes on this motherf****** plane', may not be Shakespeare, but f*** it's quotable.
Other than the addition of more profanities and more brutal deaths by python, the film thankfully reverted back to the working title of Snakes On A Plane. This proved far more interesting than the proposed title, Pacific Air Flight 123, which just sounded extremely dull.
