10 Movies Changes Influenced By The Fans' Feedback

2. A Change In Title - Harley Quinn: Birds Of Prey

An interesting entry in this list, as the feedback received by the audience was primarily from not turning up to the cinemas. Despite the film being well received by critics and having a rising star in Margot Robbie to promote the film, there was much confusion as to what the film was about, an issue largely caused by the extremely convoluted title.

Initially called Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), the small paragraph of a title caused more confusion than anything else. While meant to be a clever reference to the comics, the title instead made the film look like it was a little too far up its own backside, and audiences largely stayed away.

The title was also in contrast to the advertising, which had all but promoted the film as a Harley Quinn solo act. Realising that the title was very much holding back the film's hopes of success at the box office, the producers made the belated, but sensible decision, to change the film's title.

The film was now branded with the far more comprehensible title of Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. It was unfortunately a case of too little too late, as the film failed to flatter at the box office. While not as 'stylish' a title as the original, Harley Quinn: Birds Of Prey was clearly a much better choice that really should have been the name of the film from the start.
