10 Movies Everyone Attributes To The Wrong Director

1. Any Film By Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Charlie Kauffman & Wes Anderson - Any Of The Above

Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Charlie Kauffman and Wes Anderson are four directors often discussed together in terms of making the same style of movie: to label them all as merely "quirky indie directors" would be to do them a disservice, but it's easy to see how people can confuse who is directing what written by who when they tend to work with each other so often and approach similar ideas in similar ways. For instance, Michel Gondry's movies Human Nature and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind were written by Charlie Kauffman, Spike Jonze's Being John Malkovich and Adaptation were also written by Kauffman, while Kauffman's sole writer-directorial effort to date is the grimly funny Synecdoche, New York. Wes Anderson, on the other hand, is a far more singular talent, writing and directing his own works away from the three aforementioned talents, but his artful, singular style certainly shares some DNA with the above three filmmakers, to the extent that it's easy to lump the four of them together and have little idea who is making what. We'd like to think they're shy or introverted enough that they probably wouldn't give us a hard time about it, though... Did we miss any constantly mis-attributed movies? Let us know in the comments!
