10 Movies Everyone Wanted (But Nobody Went To See)

8. Predator 2

1987's Predator set a new standard when it came to big muscly men running around in a forest trying to kill a bloke in a rubber suit.

All jokes aside, the film was an action movie masterpiece. Big guns, epic fight scenes, macho banter, Predator had it all! It also had a brand new franchise-leading villain on its hands.

The titular Predator instantly captured the imagination of the viewing public. Everything from the way it looked, to its arsenal of weapons, to the weird clicky noises it made, quickly became part of the pop culture tapestry. So, people were keen to see the species return to the big screen.

They got their wish three years later when Predator 2 was released. This new story moved the action to the streets of Los Angeles and pitted Danny Glover and Gary Busey against the alien hunter.

It was worth recapping all of that because nobody actually went to see this movie.

The first Predator made over $98 million in ticket sales. As for its sequel, that drew a measly £57.1 million.

Did people have Predator fatigue? Were they concerned that Arnie wasn't involved? Did everyone hate Gary Busey for some reason? We'll never know.
