10 Movies Everyone Wanted (But Nobody Went To See)

7. Steve Jobs

In October 2011, the world lost one of its most gifted minds when tech genius Steve Jobs passed away at the age of 56.

Jobs was one of the co-founders and ex-CEO of Apple and helped it to become the global force it is today. He also co-founded Pixar and was almost singlehandedly responsible for bringing turtlenecks into fashion.

His life seemed perfect for a Hollywood adaptation, which is exactly what it got in 2015. Directed by Danny Boyle and with Michael Fassbender in the main role, Steve Jobs (the film) had a lot of hype behind it.

Unfortunately, it was less of an iPod and more of a Microsoft Zune.

Even with its high-profile subject, acclaimed director, and big time cast, Steve Jobs came and went to little fanfare from the public. It grossed just $34 million worldwide against its budget of $30 million. Many reasons were given as to why it failed to grab people's attention, with Boyle saying that Universal Pictures pushed the film "too wide, too soon".

Maybe he would have been less grumpy if one of the films that beat Steve Jobs out that weekend wasn't Paranormal Activity 6.

How humiliating.
