10 Movies Fans Want To See That Marvel Studios Won't Make

6. Spider-Man Vs Venom

Comic book fan or not, it doesn't seem unfair to say 2018's Venom was a pretty terrible movie. There was certainly a lot to like about Eddie Brock's first solo outing (Tom Hardy's batsh*t crazy performance, for one), but it was a mess, and not the take on the iconic villain many were ultimately hoping for.

Despite that, there's a very real desire among fans to see Tom Holland's Spider-Man cross paths with Venom, and both he and Hardy have expressed an interest in making it happen. It would admittedly be kind of cool, but if this crossover does one day happen, it won't be Marvel Studios who bring it to the big screen.

Instead, this would be a project developed by Sony Pictures and, given the studio's track record, that's cause for concern. Kevin Feige clearly isn't interested in integrating the SPUMC's (Sony Pictures' Universe of Marvel Characters) stories into his MCU, so even though Marvel Studios and director Jon Watts would no doubt nail an event film like this in or after Spider-Man 3, it's never gonna happen.
