Original Release Date: 1974 Blu-Ray Release Date: March 10th, 2014 Plot: An American bartender and his prostitute girlfriend go on a road trip through the Mexican underworld to collect a $1 million bounty on the head of a dead gigolo. (IMDB) Why It Deserves A Blu-Ray Release: More Sam Peckinpah on Blu-Ray will always be a good thing for movie viewers. Sam is known for his raw sensibilities and action scenes that depict violence in a more realistic manner. Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia plays right in his wheelhouse, showing movie fans more of his weird side along the way. The story rambles a bit and take detours here and there, which adds to the fun. We also have another great performance from Warren Oates, an actor who deserves to be ranked with the all-time greats.
