10 Movies From 2016 That Could Score 100% On Rotten Tomatoes

7. The Nice Guys

Release Date: May 20, 2016 A buddy comedy movie in the vein of Shane Black's previous masterpiece, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys looks like it could be in for a decent shot at reaching 100% on Rotten Tomatoes - at least, going by its awesome trailer, such a thing feels like a possibility. Also: Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling are at the centre of this flick, and they both look hilarious. It's a cinematic pairing that you never knew you had to see until it was presented to you in the trailer. Especially with Gosling playing against type as a bumbling doofus. Shane Black has long been one of Hollywood's best and wittiest writers; he pens dialogue - especially of the bickering buddy cop kind - like no-one else, having pretty much defined the buddy cop movie with his script for Lethal Weapon in the '80s. This upcoming comic caper, set in Los Angeles (where else?) and featuring a purposely confusing and near-on incomprehensible noir plot, looks prepped to take home tons of awards and plaudits. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang managed an impressive 85% on Rotten Tomatoes; there's no reason why The Nice Guys, a passion project for its director, won't reach those upper echelons.
