10 Movies From 2017 That Deserve Razzie Awards (But Weren't Nominated)

If the Razzies wanted to celebrate the best bad movies of the year instead of taking cheap shots at easy targets they would have nominated Geostorm, by far and away the most entertaining turkey from 2017.

The plot is easily summarized: when a series of freak storms threaten the planet, genius scientist Gerard Butler (!?) invents a system of satellites to control the global climate. Three years later, the US Vice President hijacks the system and uses it to attack America’s enemies with hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes, but his real target is the President who he plans to kill with a superstorm in Florida.

Butler leads the fight against him accompanied by his brother and his brother’s girlfriend, who just happens to be one of those smokin’ hot Secret Service agents who can drive a car backwards while simultaneously firing a machine gun. Best of all is the VP’s explanation for launching “pre-emptive strikes” on his enemies: “I’m making America great again!”
