7. Six Degrees of Separation
Do not be fooled: this movie is why Will Smith is still around today. When he could have faded into obscurity after playing the sly, endearing Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, he did this film, based on the popular play, and really got heads turning. The story of a young con man whose encounter with an upper class couple leaves them baffled and touched is perfect for re-surging the careers of two aging stars and introducing a brand new talent. So, let's put Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon back together, introduce a fine, unknown black actor, and give it to Sofia Coppola to put on screen.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
