10 Movies It Was Impossible To Dislike

1. Toy Story 3

Was there a single dry eye in the cinema or at home when you saw Toy Story 3? At the very least, it prompted a sniff from those of you who are more cold-hearted than the rest of us. This trilogy could not have been rounded off in a better manner. The film perfectly combines humour - both childish humour as well as the jokes that go over the heads of younger viewers, for such is the beauty of dual-audience movies - raw emotion and action. The crux of the movie is that Andy is closing a door on a section of his life - moving to college, he makes the decision to give his beloved toys away to the girl pictured above. This is a heart wrenching moment for both audiences. Kids who have not grown up with Andy cannot bear the thought of giving away their beloved possessions and recognise Andy's selflessness in giving away Woody, his favourite toy. Teenagers and adults on the other hand, old enough to remember when Toy Story first came out in 1995, recognise that like Andy they have grown up. Maybe they should be making similar changes in their life, too. Quite often with trilogies (such as Spiderman 3) you can be left wondering "what on earth did that accomplish that the other two films didn't?" But that wasn't the case with Toy Story - the audience definitely felt closure, and having been on a roller-coaster of emotion for the past 103 minutes they were probably in desperate need of some tissues. At least I know I certainly was. Like this list? Let us know in the comments section below.

Hi I'm Beth, a 17 year old girl from the UK who is most often found sat in front of my computer in my room making no noise and pretending I don't exist*. I like coffee (black, two sugars), old books and I'm currently studying the art of procrastination. On a more serious note, I'm currently studying for my A Levels, taking English Literature, English Language, History and Economics. I intend to study either English or Journalism at university. *that's a Harry Potter reference. If you didn't get that, then shame on you.
