10 Movies In Dire Need Of A Director's Commentary

9. The Shining - Stanley Kubrick

11 - CORRECT SIZE - The Shining It could be argued that every Stanley Kubrick film could use a director's commentary. Though I agree, the one I would've liked to hear the most is The Shining. This cryptic film is one of the best, and most epic horror movies ever made, and it would've been great to hear Kubrick talk about the creative decisions behind some of the film's most iconic scenes. It'd also be great to hear about the supposed double meanings of the film, and just what Kubrick's full intentions were when making it. But, fans of Kubrick know that he was never one to give away the full meanings of his films. Even if he were alive today, the chance of him ever recording a commentary would be slim to none. And we will always respect that. Still, it'd be really cool.
