10 Movies Nobody Asked For (That Might Be Great)

1. Jurassic World Rebirth

It's almost impressive that the Jurassic Park franchise hasn't delivered a truly great entry since the 1993 original, settling instead for five mediocre-at-best follow-ups that nevertheless made serious bank at the box office.

Yet while all but Jurassic Park's biggest fans were surely left tired of the IP after the execrable Jurassic World Dominion, its billion-dollar box office haul nevertheless ensured that Universal wouldn't wait too long before putting a seventh film in motion.

And though it's easy to roll one's eyes at Jurassic World Rebirth from its uninspired title alone, the studio was at least smart enough to hire some interesting behind-the-camera talent.

First and foremost we have director Gareth Edwards, who has proven with Godzilla, Rogue One, and most recently The Creator that he's a blockbuster filmmaker with a unique voice, and far from the mere hired hand one might expect to helm a new Jurassic Park film.

Also, the script is being written by David Koepp, who penned the original film and its first sequel The Lost World before departing the franchise for almost 30 years.

If nothing else, he knows the series better than anyone, and was hugely instrumental in making the original movie as incredible as it was.

Couple this with an accomplished cast including Scarlett Johansson. Mahershala Ali, and Rupert Friend, and it's a fair bet that Jurassic World Rebirth will at least be the best installment since the first - even admitting that the bar is in Hell.
