10 Movies Nobody Asked For (That Might Be Great)

Though there was much pre-release hand-wringing about last year's Wonka, it turned out to be both a critical hit and a massive box office success, grossing a mighty $634.4 million worldwide against a sensible $125 million budget.

And we probably should've known better given that Paddington's Paul King was directing traffic. 

All the same, eyebrows were somewhat raised when Wonka 2 was recently announced, because does Willy Wonka of all things really need to be spun off into a billion-dollar cash cow of a franchise?

Then again, it's important to remember that King will be back directing the sequel with Timothée Chalamet starring once again, so the key ingredients that made the first film work are returning to the fold.

And given the utter magic that King spun in his Paddington sequel, there's every reason to expect a more confident and entertaining follow-up here also.
