1. Junior (3.5 stars)
Ebert Quote: The most unexpected thing about the movie is not that its funny, which we expect, but that its sweet. Its one of those films you sit through with an almost continual smile. Its goofy and ridiculous and preposterous, and yet it makes you feel good, and there is something oddly heartwarming about the sight of this macho guy melting with feelings of protectiveness and maternal concern.
Critical Consensus: 32% Junior is far from an awful film, though given the general robustness of Arnold Schwarzenegger's back catalogue (a claim that sounds absurd but is actually true), this is certainly not among his strongest outings. A lot of Arnie's action fans do hate it, yet Ebert seemed to appreciate Arnie's attempt to try something new and flex his acting muscles a little, which at least makes sense. Whether Arnie and the film succeeded or not is up to you, but I wasn't all that convinced, and it seems neither were many others. Which Ebert review do you most disagree with?
