2. The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (3 stars)
Ebert Quote: "From time to time Im reminded of George C. Scotts Rule No. 3 for judging movie acting: 'Is there a joy of performance? Can you tell that the actors are having fun?' This time, you can. Theres a word for this movie, and that word is: jolly."
Critical Consensus: 42% I saw this film as a kid in the cinema, and even then remember being pretty underwhelmed by it, and not being aware who Robert De Niro was at the time, there wasn't even the thrill of seeing an acclaimed actor totally slumming it in a kids' film. Ebert at least had that, I suppose, but even still, his generous 3 stars is largely out of step with the consensus, who dismissed it as unfunny even if it does admittedly stay pretty close in terms of style and tone to the original cartoon.
