10 Movies Scenes That You Probably Fast-Forwarded As A Kid

9. Masquerade Ball - Labyrinth

Labyrinth is, quite possibly, one of the most bizarre things to have ever been created by human beings: "Okay, so let's have Jennifer Connelly going into a weird maze filled with Muppets to rescue a baby, and then we'll have David Bowie, as like, the bad guy and Goblin King." Whatever you say, Jim Henson. Still, it's also a brilliant and hugely entertaining movie, the very definition of a cult classic (not to mention the soundtrack absolutely rocks). Still, whereas most of the musical sequences in the movie are trippy and do not require impatient kids everywhere to fast forward them, the one that always seemed to leave a sour taste depicts Jennifer Connelly's character, Sarah, going to a Masquerade Ball with David Bowie's Jareth. It's a slow sequence, more abstract than any of the others in Labyrinth. In retrospect it's fine, of course, but for a kid this moment literally begged for some major skippage.
