10 Movies Set To Release In 2021 That We're Worried About

1. Jurassic Park: Dominion

Godzilla Vs Kong

We all love Jurassic Park, but the modern trilogy has gone down a strange course...

Jurassic World (2015) was a nice return to the island theme park concept of the original, and it reintroduced everyone to how cool Jurassic Park is. Not only that, it brought the fundamental principles of the original to a whole new generation of fans - that life finds a way and mankind can not control mother nature. There was then an understandable hype for the second movie, but it ended up making some questionable choices.

Fallen Kingdom (2018) was a predictable story overall, but it ended with the release of dinosaurs into the world, leaving the third film with a somewhat impossible task. Somehow, the movie now has to manage the entirely new narrative terrain, exploring and making sense of the new dinosaur world, and simultaneously draw the series to a conclusion.

The series has sort of thrown the core nature of the JP movies out the window, leaving the story to tackle its own worst nightmare, and it's unclear how well that will play out.

For Jurassic Park's moral purpose to survive the final movie, the people have to succumb to the might of the dinosaurs and keep alive the message that man has tampered with something he is unable to control. Whether the writers will actually make this happen, and not cheaply let everyone live and undermine the entire point of the 1993 original, is a little doubtful.

It's a very tough position for the film. After the introduction of dinosaurs into the real world back in Jurassic Park 2 (1997), did we not learn our lesson? It seems, much like life, movie mistakes find a way...
