1. The Avengers
What more can be said about The Avengers? The film essentially went into our collective pockets and took all of our money. Audiences applauded and left theaters looking forward to giving Marvel and Disney more of their money next summer. Personally, despite my love of Marvel comic flicks I was admittedly fidgeting and checking the time by the halfway mark of this movie. It wasnt bad, it just wasnt for me. That said, Im in the minority. People loved it and they want more. The Avengers is the perfect Hollywood product. As a movie, it felt like a trade-show event that showcased all of the things a blockbuster should be - star-filled, loud, obnoxious and super-sized. It makes sense that it was the highest grossing film of the year. What's on your list?
