10 Movies That Changed Because Of A Director’s Bad Behaviour
2. Bohemian Rhapsody
Some of the misbehaving directors on this list are loveable scamps who pushed their luck with the studios too far. Others were high-minded artists with a singular vision which they refused to compromise on.
But what both camps have in common
is relative harmlessness; sure, they annoyed a few executives and cost some
super-rich studios a pretty penny. But they’re far from bad people.
Not so with Bryan Singer. The Usual Suspects director had long been followed by accusations of sexual assault and criminal conduct with underaged actors. Despite the extremely serious and persistent allegations against Singer filling an entire documentary in 2014, he continued to work in Hollywood without much pushback until 2018.
After the #MeToo movement saw fellow famous faces Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey become personae non grata in Hollywood, public pressure thankfully saw Singer removed from the production of flawed Freddy mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

but there’s no denying that the studio made the right decision in this instance.
