Taika Waititi is bringing one of the strangest stories of 2019 to the screen when he follows up Thor: Ragnarok with a return to his comedy drama roots. If you’re a fan of Hunt for The Wilderpeople, Jojo Rabbit is one to watch.

Jojo, a young boy in WW2 era Germany is striving to find his place in the world with the help of his imaginary friend… Adolf Hitler - played by Waititi, whose questionable guidance is at odds with the world Jojo sees around him.

This alternative MCU team-up unites writer/director Waititi with Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell for release August 3rd. Waititi will be dealing in super controversial subject matter, but if casting yourself as Hitler doesn’t exude confidence in your screenplay, I don’t know what does.
