10 Movies That Could Still Save The Box Office In 2020

9. Top Gun: Maverick

Based on the recent box office heights reached by the rejuvenated Mission: Impossible franchise over the last decade, people clearly aren't getting tired of seeing Tom Cruise risk his life in the name of our entertainment.

Top Gun: Maverick arrives a full 34 years after the actor's star-making turn in the beloved original, and while a lot of his fans weren't even alive the first time he took to the skies to the tune of 'Danger Zone', the long-awaited sequel looks poised to hit that sweet spot between nostalgia and adrenaline-fueled excitement.

The trailers have deliberately positioned Maverick as a much more somber effort than its fantastically cheesy predecessor, as well as teasing that the daredevil A-lister has more than a few spectacular stunts hidden up his sleeve in a high-altitude blockbuster that looks to appeal to longtime Top Gun aficionados and newbies alike.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
