10 Movies That Could Still Save The Box Office In 2020

8. Soul

Pixar

While Pixar have become increasingly reliant on sequels recently, there's always a genuine sense of excitement that surrounds the animation giant's original projects, and Soul looks to be no different.

The plot might see the studio following their tried-and-trusted template of focusing on a human story with a fantastical twist, but the presence of Up and Inside Out's Pete Docter as director indicates that the tale of a jazz musician separated from his soul will also boast a whole lot of heart.

With the notable exception of Onward, which was hit by some pretty unforeseen circumstances, Pixar's track record of critical and commercial success is impressively consistent. Only two of their last eight movies have made less than $740m at the box office, meaning that Soul is virtually guaranteed to post some big numbers when it lands in November.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
