Long before Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland stepped into the boots of pop culture's most famous web-slinger, Sam Raimi's beloved Spider-Man trilogy inspired countless memes. Amongst others, the original franchise popularized standout examples in the form of J. Jonah Jameson howling with laughter to convey incredulity or Norman Osborn's passionate bellow of "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SACRIFICED?!" to symbolize hardship.

However, there can only be one Raimi-based meme offering that deserves an entire entry to itself - Bully Maguire. 2007's much-maligned third installment saw the usually bashful Peter Parker suddenly exhibit comical levels of sleazy arrogance after combining with the Venom symbiote. The character swiftly became the subject of a video remix where he is edited over alternate cinematic scenarios - making it appear as though Toby Maguire's typically unimposing nerd is bullying essentially any fictional character that one can think of.

Also referred to as Emo Peter Parker, this incarnation of the character thrusts his hips, dances around his adversaries and mercilessly prods them with cheesy taunts - "I'll put some dirt in your eye" being this writer's pick for his pièce de résistance. Maguire himself had a side-splitting response to the meme, informing an AMA that he still performs the notorious dance every morning.
