8. Cloverfield - "Militant Monster"
The idea for this movie has been floating around for a while, and I'd say it's quite the winner. It's the events of the film
Cloverfield from the military perspective. We saw through the eyes of the main characters in the first movie that this enormous monster wasn't the only creepy crawler attacking the city, and then we got a pretty terrifying picture as to how the army is going about quarantining victims of the attack. So, we could expect more action, more sciencey voo-doo, and a brand new set of characters to give us a brand new perspective on what went down that night. And, maybe, we'll get to see just how the city recovers from the monster attack. If it even does at all. And a part of me doesn't want to give up T.J. Miller's Hud and Odette Annable's Beth, but I'm willing to make that compromise for a more complete, eager, and ambitious film.
