10 Movies That Deserve a Spin-Off More Than Paranormal Activity

7. Léon: The Professional - "Mathilda"

Isn't it about time we caught up with Mathilda, who, when we last saw her, was leaving a normal life behind, a new assassin-y path glimmering before her? Natalie Portman's all grown up, and she's certainly kept her figure and acting ability up to par to really flesh out the next chapter of this endearingly violent story. While we don't have Gary Oldman, anymore, as his first truly great role in Stansfield, this could be a great opportunity to introduce someone new or someone greatly favorited, like Tom Hardy or Zachary Quinto as the new villain. Whatever the case may be, I don't think I'm the only one who's wondering just what Mathilda's been up to, who she works for, and how well she's taken care of herself since Leon's passing. It'd be a very different film from the first, as we've already seen her turning point to this odd career. But if there's one thing we've been learning lately, it's that Natalie Portman can deliver.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
