The Movie: Why did you want to see 127 Hours? If the answer to that question wasn€™t 'because he cuts his arm off' or 'I didn€™t see it, because he cuts his arm off€, you€™re lying. Even though the trials of Aron Ralston, first documented in his humorously titled autobiography Between a Rock and a Hard Place are rather inconsequential events, the sheer horror of them (he cuts his arm off) pushed Danny Boyle€™s follow-up to his Oscar sweeping Slumdog Millionaire into must-see territory. And Boyle knew it, teasing the the audience at multiple points before James Franco finally starts hacking away. What The Title Gives Away: Everything, but actually very little. Knowing the ending is one of the key draws of the movie, and although it doesn't explicitly use the gory act, it strongly points towards it. Even someone was somehow oblivious of what€™s to come, the title card, which appears just after Aron becomes trapped, gives them everything they need to know.
