10 Movies That Have Shunned Comic-Con 2015

2. SPECTRE

Skyfall was the first James Bond movie to earn $1 billion worldwide. For that reason, it's easy to think that Sony simply don't need to bother bringing the next instalment to Comic-Con. However, last year's "Sony Hack" did the movie - which will reteam director Sam Mendes with star Daniel Craig - absolutely no favours, especially as leaked emails (and a leaked version of the screenplay) indicated that there were some serious behind the scenes issues. That included an ending which was apparently terrible and a budget spiralling way out of control. Throw in the recent news that MGM are considering taking the Bond franchise back to Warner Bros. when their current deal with Sony expires, and the studio could have done with the kind of goodwill that an impressive panel at Comic-Con can provide. The Bond franchise was welcomed with open arms when it first attended the San Diego based event in 2012, but either Sony just don't think they need to bring 007 again this year or they're just worried about fielding questions about those rumoured problems so many months before the film is released. Either way, the iconic spy will be sorely missed...
