10 Movies That Must Return As A TV Series

1. Looper

Looper Joe Joseph Gordon Levitt
TriStar Pictures/FilmDistrict

Wedged between The Expendables 2, Men In Black 3, Twilight 5 and Bond 23, Looper is probably best remembered as the only film in 2012 that wasn't a shameless cash in of the past. In fact with time travel at its heart and a strong young cast (and Bruce Willis) it was far more concerned with the future. But with no sequel in the pipeline this story of an underground collection of hitmen conducting their business across time appears to, somehow, be stagnating.

It needn't though, as the avenues explored in the film, and the cyclical narrative it provided, means that there's almost endless scope for this to be fleshed out into a smart and brutal television series. It's clear from the film that Gordon-Levitt and Willis were merely cogs in a vast and long established industry of murder, which gives the potential for an entirely new angle for a host of new actors.

These Loopers, their future selfs and a group of telekinetic mobsters equals limitless fun for a team of writers to delve into some new characters, and that's beforeyoue've even got into the myriad of ways the different timeframes can interact and shape the stories.
