10 Movies That Need A TV Spin-Off

3. I Am Legend

Alright, so I Am Legend is arguably not even the best adaptation of Richard Matheson's classic novel, but it's the most stylistically astute and in many ways, the bravest, given that almost the entirety of the first act is just Will Smith and his dog, something virtually unheard of for a mainstream Hollywood film. Though the ending, with Neville blowing himself up, is less than savoury, the notion of his death creating a literal legend out of him could be something that's explored in a TV series, as Alice Braga and her son's character attempt to get the cure out to the population. Alternatively, it could be a prequel series, long before Neville became one of the few living people, showing how the remainder of the human race became infected. Capturing the desolation of the world would leave a wide, open door for the creators to pretty much do anything they liked within this remit, and then perhaps Neville could show up in the final few episodes too.
