10 Movies That Prove Action Stars Shouldn't Do Comedy

2. Steven Seagal - The Onion Movie (2008)

Appearing in a self mocking fake trailer for an action movie called "Co@kpuncher," Seagal appears very briefly in The Onion Movie, but his penchant for turning anything that he appears in go bad does not fail. On screen for only a brief amount of time, the chunky, bloated and slow moving Seagal appears to be (like most of his work) phoning this one in. He looks stiff and uncomfortable in his yellow silk gi, and he exudes none of the satirical edge or self parody that the segment requires. Its almost as if Seagal thinks he is shooting another one of his direct to video turkeys as opposed to a parody of those exact films. The fake trailer culminates with Seagal mugging for the camera and in his best threatening voice utters the line "I don't think you have the balls." He is so awful he can't even sell a 30 second cameo with any sort of conviction. Seagal is the only one in the "Co@kpuncher" trailer that doesn't seem to be in on the joke.
