10 Movies That Prove Dennis Quaid Is Impossible To Kill

7. Beneath The Darkness

Dennis Quaid I will be honest; I never actually finished this movie. I only picked it up at the video rental store because I was looking for Frequency, didn't see it, and saw Dennis Quaid's face on this DVD cover instead. Dennis Quaid's characters might be impossible to kill but he's pushing his luck with his career's life on this one. Probably the worse film (arguably) DQ has been involved in (next to Movie 43, but I'm sure that goes without saying), Beneath the Darkness fooled me when the IMDB page said it was released in 2011. I could have sworn based on the typography of the opening credits alone that it was a straight-to-TV movie from the early to mid '80s. Seemingly written by a child who has only watched Scooby-Doo and MTV, with a cast (next to DQ, who doesn't do any better) whose only work had to be on Survivor or Toddlers and Tiaras, Beneath the Darkness is such a clusterf*ck of a movie I could not finish it and decided that the hour and a half of my life can be better spent. So I skipped to the last five seconds just to confirm Quaid's survival. The real mystery is how Dennis Quaid got involved with this flick. But the description of the "story line" (I use that term loosely) says the mystery is not the question of the film's origin. It is however about Quaid who plays Ely Vaughn, a killer and a little bit psychopathic (usually go hand-in-hand), in a small town. He is loved by all after the death of his wife, but after some teenagers witness him murder a friend while they were playing Mystery Inc. in Vaughn's house, he decides to end their game before they end his. So why is this underwear stain of a film on this list? Pretty much to describe that even when Quaid plays the villain, a murderer revealed in the opening scene, he still does not die even when most Hollywood laws dictate he will, which is about the only original idea in the movie. Also, because Cold Creek Manor seem way too boring. Instead of getting the chance to kill Vaughn, the teenagers more or less get Vaughn sent to prison by some round-about way that involves a graveyard and cornering him or something along those lines, I don't know because honestly I could care less for anyone or anything involved with this film.
