10 Movies That Redeemed Hated Characters In A Single Scene
1. The Joker - Zack Snyder's Justice League
Few characters have experienced quite the fall from grace as The Joker did upon appearing in David Ayer's Suicide Squad.
Eight years on from a riveting Heath Ledger portrayal of the character in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight, fans were understandably excited to meet another live action version of the 'Clown Prince of Crime', this time brought to life by Academy Award winner Jared Leto.
However, by the time the bad guy ensemble feature crash landed in 2016, the few Joker scenes that were left in Ayer's butchered baby weren't enough to leave fans clamouring for more of Leto's jarring 'Mr. J'.
Fast forward five years, and a cancelled Leto Joker standalone and Oscar-winning Joaquin Phoenix-led Todd Phillips iteration later, Zack Snyder chose to surprisingly dust off the divisive take on Batman's arch-nemesis for his highly anticipated Snyder Cut of Justice League.
Filming a specific Knightmare scene just for the mammoth cut of the feature, Leto was finally given the chance to let loose opposite Ben Affleck's Bats, with the two producing absolute magic in just a few engrossing minutes.
Oh, what could've been, eh?
