10 Movies That Show You Shouldn’t Trust Strangers

1. Creep (2014)

Single White Female
Blumhouse Productions

Videographer Aaron answers an advert from a man called Josef who is dying and wants to record a video diary for his unborn son Buddy before his wife Angela gives birth. Josef is a little eccentric, but Aaron sympathises because of his sad situation and agrees to help tell his story in the slightly strange way he presents himself.

Josef seems to be constantly testing Aaron to see how far he can push his behaviour before Aaron objects. This includes filming him in the bath, taking him for a walk into the middle of a forest and telling him a story about how he raped his wife by pretending to be her lover dressed in a wolf mask. However, Aaron continues as best he can as he feels sorry for him.

The first shock twist comes when Aaron receives a call from 'Angela' who is actually his sister, and urges him to get out of the house. It also reveals that the house is not Josef's house as she doesn't know where he is.

Aaron's escape leads to Josef stalking him, sending creepy videos, even breaking into his house. Eventually, he persuades Aaron to meet him where he proceeds to kill him with an axe to the head. He comments that Aaron is his favourite (of all the people he has killed) as even after everything he did to him, he still trusted that he meant him no harm.
