Green LanternThe Buzz: At SDCC 2010, the first Green Lantern footage was shown off, which consisted largely of Hal Jordan beating the crap out of some cronies with a big, green fist. It was enough to have attendees salivating for more, though frankly, much of the heavy lifting seems to have come by way of a charm offensive from leading man Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds made pains to convey how much the role meant to him, and when a young Con attendee asked him to recite The Oath, how could he resist? Regular Audiences: Green Lantern bombed with critics and audiences alike, due to its generally inane execution, despite an admirably committed performance from Reynolds.
