10 Movies That Totally Lied To You

In interviews that have been released since the disaster that is Blair Witch 2, it's become clear that the director Joe Berlinger and Artisan Entertainment had two very different visions of this movie. Berlinger saw a sequel acting as meta-commentary on the hysteria that a popular film can create while Artisan wanted a gory horror movie.

Berlinger was forced to shoot some more gory scenes which were then added into the movie by producers who were also editing the film to be non-linear. Finally, in an attempt to make the story sound more arcane, Book Of Shadows was added to the title.

Not only does the Book Of Shadows not appear in the film, it's not even mentioned by any of the characters, almost as if it doesn't exist outside the mind of a nameless marketing executive.
