In the years following Natalie Portman's last significant appearance in the MCU during Thor: The Dark World, various reports have noted how the actor wasn't best pleased with the decision to get rid of Patty Jenkins as the director for that film and the eventual direction her character was nudged in.
Her dissatisfaction with the finished product also seemed to be highlighted in the fact that she refused to return for some last minute reshoots for an end credit scene involving Thor and Jane Foster sharing a smooch on a rooftop. So, we were duped into thinking it was Portman locking lips when Chris Hemsworth when it was actually the star's wife, Elsa Pataky.
