10 Movies That Went Into Totally Unnecessary Detail

7. The Snyder Cut Is In The Casino Vault (But Can't Be Seen) - Army Of The Dead

Zack Snyder's epic zombie film Army of the Dead features a totally ridiculous "Easter egg" given that it's literally impossible for audiences to figure out what it is - while watching the movie, at least.

When the central troupe of heroes are plotting their Las Vegas casino heist, we briefly see the imagined interior of the casino's vault, and on the left-hand side of the screen a number of film canisters are visible.

It's a bit weird to see film canisters in a vault rather than, y'know, cash, but whatever. Yet Snyder later confirmed that these canisters were actually specially designed props of his "Snyder Cut" of Justice League.

Snyder also posted an image to social media showing off the props up-close, where the label "Z.S. JL Director's Cut" can be seen.

And yet, given that the canisters are only ever seen from afar in the final film with the text impossible to discern, the effort to create the props barely seems worthwhile.
